  1. MS-fed slot antenna. CONCLUSION A novel broadband MS-fed wide slot antenna is proposed by forming an additional microstrip line resonator along the feeding section. After its operating principle is explained in depth by an equivalent two-stage bandpass filtering topology, extensive numerical simulation is carried out with a full-wave Fig.

BROADBAND COPLANAR WAVEGUIDE-FED WIDE-SLOT ANTENNA By A. Full Article PDF (484 KB) Abstract: A large bandwidth wide-slot antenna, fed by coplanar waveguide (CPW), is proposed. Experimental investigations and detailed simulations are conducted to understand its behavior and to optimize for broadband operation. A wideband circularly polarized (CP) annular-ring patch antenna with two proximity-coupled L-probe feeds orientated to have phases of 0deg and 90deg, using a broadband 90deg hybrid feed, is proposed. It is found that the current distribution for CP operation can be improved by cutting a smaller concentric circular slot on the original larger circular patch to form an annular-ring patch. In this paper, a microstrip fed rectangular slot antenna with wideband characteristics is proposed. Both the impedance and radiation characteristics of the proposed antenna are presented. It is shown that a properly offset feed can give a dual resonance nature, which can be optimized to enable wideband behavior.

Abstract

A new broadband planar offset antenna is described based on the T-shaped microstrip feeding structure in this paper. This antenna is optimized by the finite difference time domain (FDTD) and genetic algorithms (GA). The results show the impedance bandwidth of this antenna is from 1.864 to 6.643 GHz for S11 les -10 dB (VSWRles2), much higher than that of usual slot patch antenna, the far-filed pattern almost remain the same as that of the T-shaped microstrip feeding antenna
