| My Torinos are notframe-off restoratons. I find nice cars and fix what needs fixing,replace missing factory parts, weld over opera windows if has them. Iuse the existing chrome trim since nobody makes reproduction trim forthese Torinos. This makes the cars much more affordable. After Ido all the body and interior work, they get a professional 2-stageepoxy primer, sanded and then painted the correct red and white withthe black pinstriping just like the TV show car. I also use vintagealuminum slot mags on all my cars unless my buyer purchases new tiresand new U.S. Indy Slot Mags, then I put them on for them. |
| (SOLD) This Gem is a1976Gran Torino Brougham. It has a mere 76,000 miles on the car. It sat ina garage for decades in southern california with a stuck valve. Thatsaved the car from increasing it's miles. I gave it an upper end enginerebuild. it runs great and drives great. It drives straight, doesn'tpull, rattle or shake. It has working air but at this time, the fanswitch needs replacing to use the air. This car has zero rust! A very straight body, very nice glass. I putnew highjacker airshocks on it. It has the perfect muscle car stancewith vintage slot mags on it. The rear are 15 x 8.5' and the fronts are14 x 7.5'. Brand new hankook rear tires. The deluxe bumpers are ingreat shape, nice chrome with no peeling. It also has the deluxe lightpackage with the same deluxe dome light with map lights just like theTV show car. Other options include AM/FM Stereo Radio, Dual remote sport bulletmirrors. The price is $18,500. (SOLD). My buddy whom I bought it from also owns the hero #1 Gran Torino fromthe Starsky & Hutch TV series and he gave me a template of thestripe and measurments. I build three ayear.
